As a mom of two myself, I know firsthand how quickly those first moments with your baby pass and how deeply you’ll want to remember them. I recommend 2-4 weeks old! In all honesty, usually us as moms aren't quite ready for a one to two hour session in the first week or so after giving birth. If you are wanting the very earliest photos when your little one is the tiniest, I recommend booking a Fresh 48 In-Hospital session alongside your In-Home newborn session!
How old should my baby be for newborn photos?

Absolutely!! I will make sure we choose the most flattering angles and poses. I promise you will not regret being in the photos with your cute little one and you will be so grateful to have more photo and video from those early days!
I'm worried about getting in front of the camera newly postpartum. Should I really plan on being in the photos too?

This is totally up to you! I will bring a few swaddles and I have two children of my own as well as having over five years of experience as a Boston newborn photographer so I feel very comfortable helping you swaddle your newborn. However, if you'd rather take care of it, I will follow your lead. I will also tell you exactly what to do and how to pose as well as folllow the natural lead of baby during our session.
Do you help with swaddling or posing my baby?

The biggest difference is that the Premium Newborn and Luxury Newborn packages include a 1-2 minute film in addition to your digital photos. Both of these packages also include bonus images and print rights whereas the basic newborn package only includes 40 images and you must print any images via the online gallery. The Luxury newborn also includes a personalized album.
