Though I've been a photographer capturing newborn sessions for over five years, every single newborn session feels like such an honor - I am one of the first people you welcome into your new baby's life and I do not take that for granted. In home newborn sessions are some of my favorite sessions to photograph because it is such an exciting time of life and even though that sweet little one is still learning to sleep at night, new moms and dads are filled with so much love and joy that the photos all look beuatifully radiant despite the long nights!
Baby Wyatt was born just a few weeks before my own son was born so this was an extra special session for me! He is actually a little older than I typically photograph because he had some jaundice that we were waiting on but these photos are just as precious as ever!! I find that anytime between 2-6 weeks is actually perfect for newborn photos! For anyone wanting the very first days, I recommend a Fresh 48 in hospital session because that really captures those very first moments, and then newborn photos a few weeks later still captures how small they are, but they are more of a cozy relaxed feel - perfect for those printed portraits you will want on your wall!
Little Wyatt's sisters were just as cute as ever and it was precious to see how much they loved him! I am the youngest myself so I don't know what it would be like to welcome a new baby sibling to the family but I am confident these two were some of the most welcoming sisters ever! I know they are going to be the very best helpers to their mom and it was such a joy to be able to photograph some of their earliest interactions!
