When I realized we were moving to Franklin, a vague memory came to my mind of someone I had met at a funeral years earlier messaging me on facebook to tell me her daughter was moving to a town outside of Boston. I quickly looked back through my messages to discover that that town was also Franklin! As it turned out, my 2nd cousin whom I had never met had just moved in to a house that was only 10 minutes from my new house!
Over these past nine months, we have become incredibly close friends. Marinne has two daughters who are the exact ages as my own two children and she is currently pregnant with her third child, a sweet baby boy. I was able to take a few baby announcement photos for her in the snow a few months ago and today I got to celebrate Marinne and her little one at our own little Boston baby shower at my house.
Because I was busy hosting, I did not get a chance to get many images of the actual guests (ie I only took one phone pic with a human in it) but I did take some cute photos on my camera before everyone showed up! I was so grateful for Marinne’s mother in law who helped provide the most amazingly beautiful cupcakes as well as a stunning fancy cheese plate.
The theme was just the color blue. The decor was simple and minimal, including some of my son Lewis’s clothes from when he was a baby, and the only “game” I had was to sign a book. But the turnout was great and I know Marinne felt loved – she even had some friends drive all the way out from New Haven, Connecticut so that is dedication!
If you are having your own little addition, I would LOVE to be your newborn photographer! Be sure to check out my Newborn Experience and I’d be happy to answer any questions <3
