As a WPI Grad photographer, I love getting to celebrate graduation with you! Grad sessions with groups of close friends are always some of my favorites, and this recent session at Worcester Polytechnic Institute was such a fun one to photograph.
These girls all play on the women’s basketball team at WPI and have been friends since the very first day of freshman year. After years of classes, practices, games, and college memories together, getting to celebrate this milestone as a group made the session feel even more meaningful.
One of the sweetest moments from the evening was recreating a photo they had originally taken the day they first met as freshmen. Seeing the before-and-after version years later was such a full-circle moment and such a fun reminder of how much life can change during college while the friendships stay strong.
We spent the evening exploring some of the best spots around the Worcester Polytechnic Institute campus campus, and WPI truly has some beautiful locations for graduation photos. Between the classic architecture, open pathways, and gorgeous natural light, the campus photographs so beautifully during graduation season.
Of course, we had to stop by the iconic Goat’s Head statue for some celebratory group photos right after our fun champagne spray to end the session. The girls brought such a fun energy the entire time, and there was so much laughter throughout the evening.
We also made extra time to take photos near the blossoming pink trees on campus, and I’m so glad we did. The soft pink blossoms paired with the gorgeous evening sunlight made those images feel especially dreamy and spring-inspired.
One thing I always focus on during my group graduation sessions is making sure everyone gets a complete gallery experience. Along with full group photos, we also capture all the different friend combinations as well as individual portraits for each graduate. It creates a gallery that feels both personal and celebratory while documenting the friendships that made college so memorable.
As a Worcester grad photographer, I love helping graduates document this season in a way that feels elevated, joyful, and true to their college experience.
If you’re graduating from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and looking for a WPI graduation photographer, group graduation sessions are such a fun way to celebrate your final year together. Whether you’re teammates, roommates, or lifelong friends, these sessions are designed to capture both the milestone and the memories behind it.
